So I am a thin girl and have had a bony spine and chest my whole life. I checked with the doctor and there is nothing medically wrong with me, it’s just how I’m built.
I wore a sweetheart neckline dress to my high school grad and my hair up. My photos do display my bony chest and I don’t think it looks very good. Mind you, that was 12 years ago, but I haven’t actually changed much. I may have gained 5 pounds or so, but nothing major so I pretty much look the same.
I really want to wear my hair in a low updo for my wedding, but I have a strapless dress and don’t want to look super bony in all my photos. I’m not overly self-conscious about it in person as I don’t think people really notice, but the lighting and such in photos can really put it on display. I thought about trying to hide them with a necklace (and may still try to go that route), but my dress has a lot of beading on the top and I had planned on wearing earrings only.
If I decide not to wear a necklace, what do you think, bees? Should I just do what I want and wear my hair up (with the risk of not liking some of my photos because I look too bony), or should I try to hide them by wearing my hair down? It’s not that I would be unhappy wearing my hair down, I just think I would prefer to wear my hair up.
Can a photographer photoshop ‘bony-ness’? lol
