hmm .. i like it!! I think once you have it done up and altered properly, hair done, veil on etc etc it will look amazing!! It suits your body shape … what type of wedding are u having??

Has it been altered? That should take care of the bigness.
How does it look without the sash or with a lighter color/matching color sash?
What type of sash would look good with this? On the left side (on my hip) it has a jewel appliqué.

I like it. Is that a black sash? Try a really sparkly one!! You’re gonna look beautiful.

It will also look different in professional pictures, with a better camera and different lighting. A point and shoot camera often ddresses take great pictures of dress fabric.

You need a sparkly belt up the game of the dress. The ruching is lovely.

Its beautiful! You already have a nice figure in it and it hasn’t even been altered yet. Once you alter it and you are all dolled up you will feel a lot better! Don’t stress..it will be perfect!

Those are some of the other dresses I tried. I’m seriously having regret :((

@peachbaby4008: I like the one you have WAY better than the other ones that you posted! I agree with PP, try a blingy sash instead of the dark one, and once it has been fitted and sits nicely at your bust, it will be wonderful and you will fall in love again. 🙂

I agree that dress looks great on you, and will look even better when it’s fitting properly.
I’m in the ‘add a sparkly sash’ camp as well – but that’s just cos I love me a bit of bling 🙂 I also like the wide black sash from that last photo you put up.

I appreciate your guys’ opinions a lot!! It’s helped big time.
I should have watched say yes to the dress lol!

Your dress was one of my top contenders (and my grandma’s fave). I agree with others about the sash. I actually think it looks best with no sash at all. You can have them tack down the appliqe (sp?) if you choose to go sashless.
Once the dress is altered you willl be back in love with it. As for pictures, there are tons of brides with satin gowns that have the same fear. The dress does not look as shiny in pro pics though!
ETA: try it with a fit-n-flare crinoline. It makes a world of difference!
