Yes, I was married back on December 1st, but we’re having our reception celebration for family and friends in May. The problem is, I’m losing about 5 pounds every two weeks, which isn’t really a problem, because I’m trying to lose weight. All total, I’d like to lose 30 pounds to get back down to my ideal weight. The real problem is my dress won’t fit for our celebration.
So my dilemma is do I get the dress I eloped in taken in so it fits, or do I try to find a new dress that will fit. There are advantages to both. With the new dress, I get a new dress and I can keep my original dress special just for me and Darling Husband (we eloped). With the original dress, I get to show it off to everyone who didn’t see me in it.
The bad part of going with my original dress is there will be new pictures taken of me in it in which I’ll look much thinner, and I might not be happy with the way I looked in it on my wedding day when I compare them…
What do you think I should do?

Yes. You deserve a new dress for losing all that weight.
EXACTLY!! Keep the wedding dress as something special for you and your Darling Husband. I assume people have already seen your wedding photos, so there is no need to show them the dress. Surprise them and your Darling Husband with another stunning dress

New one! As other people said, any excuse to buy a new dress. Plus, it’s a reward for all your hard work, and I do agree that you might become unhappy with pictures of yourself in the original dress when you first wore it (because you’ll be thinner this time). Go for it! And congrats on the weight loss!!!

You definitely deserve an award and at a different weight, you might find that you like a different dress on your new, slimmer self!! Go for it!

New dress all the way. If they want to see the old dress, show them a picture 🙂

Buy a new one! you don’t want to look back on your original wedding pictures and have negative feelings because you looked better in it at the reception! Plus, if you have a new body shape, get a new dress that is totally different and looks great in a different way!

I think everyone is right. I need to look for a new gown… My budget is really limited though. So I guess, I’ll be checking out the used dresses.
I really don’t want to look back at my wedding pictures and be unhappy with them because I look better in my dress at our reception.
Thank you!
