I hate texting. Never do it. I hate when my friends text me. I’d rather just call them back. I don’t have a texting plan so I actually get mad when people text me because it costs like 5 cents per text.
I find it annoying when other people are constantly texting too. Get off the freakin phone!

I chose other because I go back and forth between texting and calling. I text all day at work to the outside world and mostly at night when I am watching TV. But, a lot of time I need the instant gratification of calling someone to get an answer and not having to wait for a text to come back. I also refuse to use “text lingo”–it’s the English major in me–and if it isn’t quick and short, it’s just a lot easier for me to call. All my texts have capitalization and punctuation, and most of the time I don’t understand the abbreviations.

@amariem25: lol my Future Mother-In-Law hates it too…. i’m addicted but i try not to be rude and text all the time, like when in the middle of a conversation with someone or while having dinner, etc…

I text alot.. but simply because my friends work crazy work hours and its sometimes inconvieniant to call. They might reply if they are in a break. But it depends which friend is what I do.. if its any family member I call. 🙂

I would rathr text, as I have unlimited texting, but not unlimited minutes.. also, it’s often easier to just text than call (especially if I only have to ask one quick question rather than have an hour long conversation).
