The reception went off pretty much perfect! We had drama with one person who decided to show up drunk and made a scene from dinner through the entire night, when I finally made my husband and his friends make him leave! Other than that, the day was perfect!
One of the best memories of the night ~ My dad isn’t much of a dancer, and I’m an only child, so the father/daughter dance was very special to me! I surprised him with an opening of the “Numa Numa Song” (Mia HEE Mia HO Mia HA HA… ) (inside joke with my family), then it switched to “Walk with You” by Edwin McCain. Very fun yet sweet memory with my dad!
First dance ~ “Wonderful Tonight” by Eric Clapton
My FAVORITE picture and memory of the entire day!! For the wedding party song, the DJ put on “I’ll Be” by Edwin McCain. The group started out as my husband and I dancing, the girls dancing in one circle, and the guys in another. My girls decided it would be fun to circle us holding hands and singing. The guys followed suit and circled outside the girls holding hands and singing and swinging their arms! They later joined into one big circle, but this photo is definitely my favorite! Everyone was singing at the top of their lungs and we couldn’t stop laughing. It truly shows how much they care about us, and we couldn’t ask for better friends! The entire thing was totally unplanned too, which made it even more memorable 🙂
Another amazing memory of the night that has turned into a tradition! ~ At one of the groomsman’s weddings this past summer, the guys sat the groom down on a chair in the middle of the dance floor and serenaded him to “You lost that lovin’ feeling” from the movie Top Gun! It is the funniest thing to see in person! The guys get so into it!
