I wasn’t emotional.  I actually went dress shopping alone and found a dress that I thought was pretty and flattering.  Were there other dresses I liked? Of course.

It’s a dress.  It isn’t like you are meeting your baby for the first time after giving birth to it.

I was very matter of fact.  I was shopping alone, and called one of my best friends to meet me on her lunch hour, we discussed the pros and cons of it while i had it on (it can accomodate weight loss and a wee bit of weight gain without needing alteration, price, theme of the wedding, etc)…she said “i think you should get it, you could shop for a year and not find one that ticks the boxes like this one”, so did!  that was about it.  I’m not a person that gets excited about clothes though (shoes, on the other hand ;)).

I definitely didn’t cry. I was in LOVE with my dress and I just wanted to wear it all day. I tried on others and no other dress even came close. I was happy, but definitely had no tears. I think you can know it is the one without crying!

I didn’t cry either when I found my dress, but I love it:)  I am glad to see that I am normal!
