I just realized that I never said hello to all the Bees! I’m 21 and got engaged on St. Patties Day this year and I couldn’t be happier. We are getting married on 11.11.11. Trust me I am counting down the days!!

That’s so exciting..I love finding date twins! Have you gotten a lot done already? Everyone keeps telling me I’m nuts and I’m getting so much done but I’m just tying to get the big stuff out of the way. I’m sure there are other things I really need to get done but haven’t.

@hippo: awesome! What other color (s) are you paring with it?

@SweetRose2011: I have booked the reception and the photographer already (3 weeks ago). My family thinks it’s a bit early and/or they are being really laid back about it not understanding that 11.11.11 would be a date a lot of couples would want. But my fiance and I know better (and are paying for it ourselves!), so they can think we are crazy all they want! I’ve stalked the farmer’s almanac back to 1997 and I can tell you that the sun sets at 4:41 PM on 11,11 LOL. I just have no idea what to expect weather wise… we could have 2 feet of snow, rain, or 60 degrees out. So I’m kind of nervous about that but I am prepared for anything.
We’ve also chose our wedding party, we did that when we got engaged in May of 2009. I told the girls to start looking at BM’s dresses in satin and the color “Lapis” from David’s Bridal. So I am pretty sure my colors are going to be dark purple and either ivory or champange.
Sorry for the long message. What have you got accomplished so far? Do you have to worry about unpredicitable weather?

@HolyVowels: Yeah I’m worried about the unpredictable weather myself. Living in the midwest in Illinois opens up the possibility that it will either be very chilly or snowy. I’m not too excited about that and would much rather get married while there are still leaves on the trees but my Fiance and I have the very special “make a wish” conneciton to the time 11:11 so I don’t think there is any chance we’ll change it.
We did book our ceremony and reception site already. We even bought his wedding ring. Mine came with my engagement band so we don’t have to worry about that. I think that my grandma is going to do my alterations and my grandpa might be officiant at our wedding so that will be exciting. Since I know the tuxes and my dress I just have to make the final decision on the bridesmaid dresses. We also know what song we want for our first dance.
I’m pretty excited that it seems like all the pieces are finally coming together for the wedding. I’m going to be much less stressed about it when it gets closer to the date.
