Honestly, I love your dress. And you can get an overskirt for it for the ceremonyI if it would make it more to your fiancee liking. But I believe the minute he sees you in it, he will love it. You have a stunning figure.

Your dress looks gorgeous on you, and I generally hate mermaid dresses. I would just line the top as you pointed out –  the no-liining on top cuts everyone in half.

@madaboutunicorns:  if you are feeling uncomfortable  you could try on an overskirt for a totally different look!

Love that dress on you! It’s so beautiful. I wouldn’t get a new dress. Have you thought of adding an overskirt? That’ll help “soften” the look a bit and give you that “princess” feel without having to switch dresses.

When I tried on dresses, quite a few of them had the option to add the skirt. I’d look into that.

My favourites are generally A-line or ball gown princessy dresses (mine was an A-line) but I like your dress on you and I find the lace flowers quite unique. Plus, the train is gorgeous!

PPs’ suggestion to get an overskirt could help but just to please your SO. Otherwise, the dress is great as it is!

By the way, in my opinion, your dress is nicer that those in the other photos that you posted.
