- Wedding: September 2011
I ordered my perfect wedding rings from Etsy.com. I trained to be a theatre technician. So I was/am a carpenter. My fiancee is an actor. His favorite musical is “A Little Night Music” and in it is a scene about a wooden ring. It’s really touching and poignant.
I found rings on etsy.com. Beautiful wooden inlay rings. I got sized at my jeweler and so did my fiancee. We got sized twice. At two different places. I wanted to make sure, absolutely certain that I ordered the right size, since I wasn’t going to be able to try them on (OR GET THEM RESIZED due to the wooden inlay.)
I ordered. I waited. I anticipated the moment I could put it on my finger and see it on M’s finger. I couldn’t wait.
They came today while I was at work. M opened them. I got a text (after a HELLISH day at work) his ring didn’t fit. I burst into tears on the subway. I got home. Tried mine on…it was ALSO too small and didn’t fit.
I am NOT a crier. By any stretch. But today, my poor nerves couldn’t take it. I cried. I cried a lot. I’m having a serious nerve shock. Looking for some love.
