If any of you ladies have seen my posts, things with SO have been moving along well. This weekend, things went at lightening pace.
Thursday & Friday night we were talking weddings/marriage, everything. Even talked about WHEN a wedding would be.
Tuesday, asks for my ring size. Tells me he spent hours on the phone with his parents telling them everything.
Tuesday night, I show him rings. Email him links for reference. He says, lets see how fast the mail can come.
Wednesday night, he speaks to his parents again, trying to find out the exact date of their arrival so we can get a venue. We decide to go look at venues next week. Tells me to start picking out dresses.
Bottom line…the wedding is the beginning of NOVEMBER. Going to be a very small intimate wedding, no more than 15 or 20 people. I’m beyond excited! But I don’t have the ring yet to prove it, so in some ways, I feel silly. But if I don’t start getting everything ready now, nothing will be done while I’m waiting for my ring. I’m in this weird limbo.

Awww thank you ladies!!
I even told SO last night I feel weird saying anything to anyone or looking at stuff because it isn’t “official,” with the ring and all. He understands what I’m saying, but says he can only do so much about the ring right now, it will come soon, and with plenty of time to show off beforehand.

Yay! Congratulations! I say you don’t need the ring to be offically “engaged” although people are silly becasue I got engaged and my Fi didn’t pick out a ring until three months later, and a lot of people had a lot of things to say about it.

@TwoCityBride: That really makes me feel better! Thank you so much. It’s kinda our own faults because we are rushing the whole wedding deal to begin with, but it is important that his parents are present. They have very difficult work schedules, so we have decided to have it when his parents fly in this November to ensure they can be included.

Oh wow, this is awesome for you!!! Committing to having the wedding when his parents are here shortly is a bigger committment than some guys make who give a ring right away! I think short engagements are awesome and yay for you 🙂 Congratulations!
better change that date beside your name 😉
