I’m so happy to say that on April 9th I married my best friend my partner for life.
Backstory: We met online on February 15, 2015 was engaged June 22, 2015 and married on April 9, 2016. April 9th was the date that we first met in person when he came from VA to Delaware to met me. We knew that we would not be dating long as a long distance relationship would not work forever. We had a timeframe in mind.
If I had one peace of advice for future brides it would be don’t sweat the small stuff and trust there will be small stuff. The two weeks leaning up to the wedding was stressful to say the lest. The groom was in the hosipital as was his best man and one of our readers. Financial always played a part of our stress but we pressed on.
The night before our wedding at the rehersal one of the groomsmen didn’t show up and only called later. He forgot to put the time in for work in time but I’m still married. One of my bridemaides didn’t get her dress nor the jr. bridemaide dress but I’m still married and yes she came the day of with a short dress almost the same color, it was fine and I still let her walk. That morning here on the East coast it SNOWED but I’m still married. My coordinator asked me if still. wanted my bridal party to still come in as planned because of the weather I told her I didn’t care if they skipped, did cartwheels or whatever as long as we got to the altar. There was a couple of other gitches but in the long run I’m still married and I was able to smile the entire day.
DON’T SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF. ENJOY YOUR DAY AND ENJOY YOUR GROOM.

Beautiful couple, congrats! Also, thanks for the reminders. I am a waiting bee & recently attended my cousin’s wedding in GA and I remember being so emotional seeing her walk down the isle and I thought to myself, “None of the small stuff matters! Just their love that they have for each other.” I guess it was one of those perspective moments that you had. Thanks for sharing! And amen to moving forth and not wasting time! My cousin met her husband online and I met my SO online also, but come to find out…we have a mutual friend. Small world, congrats again!
