YEP! It totally bugs me when our cat doesn’t sleep in his favorite spot, under the covers between my legs (yes, I realize: inappropriate!!! But so soft and warm!)

Our dog sleeps in our bed with us when we decide to allow it.  That’s the key – he gets to do it when we allow it.  He is fully aware that the bed is our territory, and that getting to sleep in it is a privilege that we’re granting to him, not a right.  Most dog-to-owner agression starts either because dogs are displaying food protective instincts or because owners are not setting proper boundaries regarding beds and/or sofas, chairs, and couches.  This absolutely doesn’t mean that the dog can’t sleep on the bed or sofa – it just means that the dog needs to understand and obey “off” before sleeping on the bed is allowed!  And it’s good for the dog to occasionally have a night off of the bed, to reinforce/remind the dog that the bed isn’t his/her territory.

@Zenostar:  she’s quite small. And she isn’t the most coordinated doggy out there lol so it’s quite a sight to see. here she is so you can maybe get a mental picture of her dragging her bed around by hter teeth…

@stardustintheeyes:  oh I see it now, I used to work with a lady that had a ug at the shop all the time but she was a fawn, I wasn’t sure if your pup was just pug or mixed but now that you said what shes’s crossed with I see the influence of the japanese chin in her to Smile

@Zenostar:  I think she has more of a chin type body shape. And her face is definitely a pug face. But she’s not as round and stocky as other pugs I see. She has a thinner body more like a chin. I am no expert though. We did have a japanese chin and my tilly is built more like that dog was.
