Keep looking until you get it down to two. Then pull it out of a hat. If you’re happy then keep it, disappointed get the one you didn’t pull.

Get it down to 2-3 that you love, and then let him choose. =)

Since you are so torn, it may be best to just let your SO know your stone preference and let him decide between the bands / metal you are torn between. Itll also make him excited to surprise you a bit.

I will say that I spent most of my life wanting white gold but after SO and I went looking into rings I quickly switched to yellow gold (I actually initially said silver because I just like that color better but its nearly impossible to find silver engagement rings of quality). You have to get it dipped every 1-2 years and it will get expensive if your shop doesn’t include it in their price. Plus it can takes a couple weeks for the process so it seemed like more of a hassle than its worth. Being a nurse and using a lot of soap / hand sanitizer I was looking at minimum once yearly dipping.

If you really are against your SO just making the decision for you, which come on it would save you the stress and let him have fun, then take a close friend or family ring shopping and get their opinion.

I think maybe consider your lifestyle first. Will you be doing a ton of things really bad for pavè? Then consider what you love. If you love pavè and don’t plan to do tons of heavy work and lifting in it then get it!! My engagement ring has pavè and guess what? Been wearing it 2 years almost and only one of those stones ever budged even after being accidentally hit in door frames and that was entirely my fault for not taking it off before trying to squeeze into pants that were tight and a stone got caught and yanked out. Lesson learned lol.

ENR-149 from moco has had my heart since day 1″

It’s gorgeous. Get that one. Get it in white gold or platinum if you don’t like yellow gold. Get what you love and stop worrying about what’s practical. Don’t you want to look down at your ring every day and feel butterflies?

Ok, so I have absolutely been where you are and it’s maddening. I can totally sympathize and I feel for you, I truly do.

Since you know what center stone you want, that’s a start. If you love that setting, get it. If it’s a quality piece it shouldn’t snag in anything or lose stones. I personally wouldn’t recommend MoCo for a setting because of others experiences, but I originally wanted to use them. Their customer service is fantastic until you have an issue. Then good luck. So I’ve decided to source the center stone myself from Tianyu and have DK make the setting. I know it will be done right, and if not, it’ll be fixed. His work really is phenomenal.

I also found it helped for me to do polls. I know it sounds insane, but when one option started to beat the other out, I’d either secretly be excited or disappointed. For me, it honestly revealed my true preferences and helped me decide.

A 2mm pave band is plenty substantial, and still very thin. I have a caliper and measured a few of my rings when I was trying to decide what I wanted and it looked great. Sturdy, but still dainty if that makes sense? The thickness (from outer diameter to inner diameter) will also be important since you’ll be doing pave. A seasoned jeweler like DK will know exactly what to do.

And I also struggled with gold color! (Told you I was indecisive too. My journey has taken 2 full years.) I LOVE yellow gold for so many reasons, maintenance being one of them. Besides the fact that it doesn’t need dipped, it also looks rich, it’s making a comeback etc. However, I’ve worn silver and WG since I was a teenager, so 20+ years, and I was so worried I’d get it and LIKE it but not LOVE it, especially long term. WG does look better on my skin I think, or maybe it’s just what I’m used to, who knows. So……I’m getting the best of both world and going with UNPLATED 14k WG. Not DKs palladium mix that stays white and doesn’t require plating, but just “regular” WG/nickel blend. It’s warmer than plated or palladium mix, but not bright like yellow and doesn’t need dipped. Win win if you ask me!

Ok, I digress. I hope this helps! And here’s a couple pics of all 3 gold colors for reference.

Give him a couple of pointers and then let your Fiance decide.  The ring I have, I probably wouldn’t have picked but it’s pretty and I’ve realized that it just doesn’t matter in the grand scheme.

elainebenes321 :  Haha! Nope I’m a Leo, but I’m the same. I can always help others and give advice but never take my own.

I didn’t know unplated WG was a thing either but I had someone over on PS suggest it. The middle band is actually my original 13 year old WG wedding set that the rhodium has worn off of, lol! I couldn’t believe the difference between it and one of my new rings. I knew as soon as I compared them, that’s what I wanted. I’m not sure if MoCo offers it, but I know DK does. All I’ve seen from MoCo is palladium, but it doesn’t hurt to ask. They order their settings from Stuller so hopefully since it’s a stock piece and no changes you won’t have any issues.

Id suggest getting a quote from DK too. You might be surprised, especially if you source the center stone from Tianyu. That will save you HUNDREDS. My 3 stone is all gold but it’ll be $1,025 including the stones and shipping. Doesn’t hurt to just get a quote. And I’m not sure if this matters to you, but MoCos side stones are lab diamonds and DK uses natural. That’s part of their price difference.

ETA: Glad I could help! I just know what it’s like to be where you are. I started out wanting an elongated cushion (like 10×9!!!) in a double edge halo covered in pave plus a huge blingy halo eternity band. Now I’m getting a 3 stone with zero pave and a 7mm center stone, and probably a channel set or bezel band 😂 I’ve seriously been ALL over the place but I love where I ended up. It’s embarrassing actually. Lol

I was 10000% in the same exact spot as you!! I couldnt decide what size center stone I wanted and whether I wanted a halo or a solitaire or rose gold or white gold. But I kept going back to enr149 too! So we finally decided to go for enr149 in rose gold with a cushion cut center 🙂 but I was originally thinking of getting that model w an oval too… both are beautiful and the basket under the oval looks awesome. Anyway congrats I hope you get your ring soon and I’ll say this …that model looks way better in rose or yellow gold than white gold in my opinion so great choice:)

I’m currently waiting for a proposal so no pics yet! You’ll likely get yours before me so pleaseeee make sure you post pics when you do! Hahah but I looked at every single video on YouTube that MoCo posted on the ring and the miligrain details and scroll design stand out more in RG and YG… the details in WG don’t pop they almost just disappear… did you search enr149 on YouTube? You’ll see a lot of videos! what size oval did you pick? I picked a 8.5mm cushion
