@Baybeejulia:  if the jeweler said no then you should believe him. I thought I saw a crack in my ring after dropping it, but it turns out it was an inclusion that becomes invisible when viewed from certain angles. my stone did loosen up after the drop. it’s pretty common.

@nerdybird:  I didnt mean bad enough the way you are interpretting.  Yes accdients happen. I’ve dropped an opal ring and split it right in half.  I’m not saying “bad enough” as in “omg youre a fucking idiot”.  All I’m saying is regardless of the condition of the diamond, you would probably be be more careful anyways!  Would you not be more careful if you found out the ring/diamond was not in fact damaged??  No, you would still be more careful.

@Baybeejulia:  All I’m trying to say is that there’s no need to stress about it which it seems like you are.  What’s done is done.  It’s been dropped, and stressing about it even after a jeweler has told you it’s not damanged doesn’t do good.  You can buy pretty inexpensive loupes online if you want to take a look at it under magnification to verify it for yourself.
