Why do doors keep opening and closing by themselves? Paper falls to the ground and before I have a chance to pick it up, I look back and it’s on the table again and things are moving around without my doing them? Like how you know exactly where you put your purse everyday (mine is on the right hand side of an arm chair) and now it’s on the left hand side?
I’m not even kidding, I’m leaving the house until Darling Husband comes home at 5!

Do you live in an old house?!

oooOOOOOOoooooo eeeee oooOOO
hehe… sounds like you have visitors!

Seriously? Has anything like this ever happened at your house before? It’s not the wind from an open window or anything like that? I’d be out of there, too, if I were you…not that anything bad’s going to happen, but it’s creepy. Yikes.

something like that happened when I was living with my parents. I heard my bedroom door slam shut. no one was home and no windows were open. My mom heard the same thing when she was home a few days later. A few things happened, nothing like stuff moving or anything.
I would be scared too if I was alone!

Check out this thread for some good ghost stories (mostly because I’m too lazy to type out my stories again), there is some creepy stuff!!!!
Tell your haunted/scary story!
ETA – Weird stuff happens to me all the time too. Like constantly. I barely acknowledge it any more I swear.

@Just_Squeeze: Try not to let it bother you too much. Honestly, for the longest time I thought I was going crazy but then things started happening when Fiance was home too. If you start panicing or have lots of negative energy, the “occurences” get worse and more frequent (in our experience). There was a couple that got into an argument in our bathroom at a party and then door locked itself from the outside. They were stuck in the bathroom for 45 mins until we could take the door off the hinges. When we removed the door, the handle turned freely without a problem… We just try to act like nothing is out of the norm lol.

Sounds so great! I love stuff like that. If it was me I would try talking to whatever was moving things around. Try to take pictures of it. I would have a full on ghost hunt.

In theory, this would be cool and awesome. In reality, if I were home alone and this sh*t were going on, I’d be either a. in the corner balled up and crying, b. there would be a hisgoosiegirl-sized hole through the door.

I’m still alive.
Darling Husband has been on the phone with me the last half hour. He says the door opening and closing is the draft between the A/C and the window being open in our bedroom (2 rooms away). He says he hasn’t touched my purse and he says I must have picked up the paper off the floor and forgotten aobut it???
We did watch 2 horrors this weekend and
@Eva Peron: No, it’s a modern place…Although my last place was 114 years old. They say the tenant there a long time ago killed herself for the stigma of being a spinster. (WB wasn’t invented yet for her to vent, lol!)
I do believe but was never visited before.
Come to think of it, I asked Darling Husband the other night if he got up before me (in the middle of the night). I saw him come back to bed. I said “I got up just after you came back). He said “Nooooooo, I got up after YOU came back to bed!”
I also heard him shuffling across the floor another night, in the middle of the night, and he said “No, I slept through the night last night!”
Lordy, it’s 20 to five and I want my hubby!!! :((((

This kinda happened to me yesterday. I was home alone and I could have swore I hear people talking downstairs in my living room and doors opening and closing. No was there when I went to go check and I was a little freaked out.
As a joke though, whenever something is missing randomly or something moved without me doing it I’ll yell out “Stop it Fred!” and somehow I always find what I was looking for…… mysterious for sure!

I love this kind of stuff and I had so much fun (yet got so many goosebumps) reading the thread that bakerella posted. I think there was a second similar one with more stories too.
