Thanks for this….I feel for you. I dont want a head table (none of the bridemaids and groomsmen even know eachother!) but i was starting to get guilted into it by my family…..after reading your post, I am okay with not having one.

I’m really late on this thread but I wanted to weigh in… I think you def have a right to be annoyed and uncomfortable about this! I don’t know what sort of person your Fiance is, but I do know that mine would leave super early if he wasn’t around me and didn’t know anyone. For that matter, I’m really super shy myself (although you wouldn’t know it if we were good friends!) and if the situation was reversed, I wouldn’t stay for dinner if I had to be around people I didn’t know for a lengthy amount of time when there are people that I’m comfortable with there. Or else I’d just crash someone’s seat/be rude and pull up a chair!
Lol but I have an anxiety problem. It’s definitely one of the reasons that we’re not doing assigned seating – I don’t want to create those problems for someone else!
