…ly excited to get FREAKIN’ MARRIED!!!!
I know, I know… most brides are excited. Duh. But last night, after my third eight-and-a-half-hour teaching shift + four-hour Master’s class in a row, I just had this epiphany: I am the luckiest girl in the world.
I came home, dead tired, to a glass of wine already poured for me, the dishes done, groceries in the fridge/freezer (with my lunch made and the sweetest note in the entire world), and the apartment spotless. Then he called me beautiful and said he can’t wait to marry me. This morning, he made me coffee and drove me to work (I usually take the train). I adore this man.
So, yeah, I can’t wait. And I’m ridiculous for even making this a post, but I did it anyway.
Anyone else want to share their giddy-ness?

This thread title is misleading!!
The giddyness hasn’t hit me yet. I still have over a year to go. I bet I feel too crazy when I’m married/much closer! 🙂

And that’s the way it should be. 🙂 You should feel the luckiest.
I’m about a year behind you, but YAY APRIL BRIDES!
I’m also really happy to be marrying the most awesome man in the universe. I think about finally being married to this man after (what would be at the time of the wedding) 6 years together…I get the fuzzies.
I came home from work last night and he was waiting for me when I got off the bus. Then I went to check my plants (which were sunburned – UGH) and I flipped out. He got a nosebleed (he gets them a lot) but refused to leave my side while I moved everything and pinched off burned leaves. I told him to go upstairs and take care of himself but he said, “No. I want to be there for you.”
I’m a big gardener and it’s one of my biggest hobbies. He knows how much I care about my plants. It was sweet.

He sounds like a keeper! What a great guy you’re marrying. Glad you’re feeling giddy and excited, this should be the best time of your life!

@jwdesiree: This is super sweet! Really happy the title is misleading. I’m on cloud 9 getting ready to get married next month. I treasurof all of my time with FI and after seven years still can’t imagine or even entertain the idea of being with anyone else 😀 p.s. major score for your FI having chilled wine ready, along with everything else that just says welcome home, take a load off.

Heehee, sorry for the misleading title, ladies. I just really felt a bit silly for posting about being excited about a wedding on a wedding board!!!
I’m so happy we all have great men in our lives!

I was talking to my dad yesterday about banking and hospital rights. It hit me that if something happens to FI and he ends up in the hospital I don’t have the right to know anything about it right now O.O…maybe we should get married sooner, August next year seems so far away. We’re not actually going to move it, but I’m really itching to get it done now…maybe that will kick my butt into gear with planning; I am a terrible procrastinator 🙂

LOL! Not what I expected to read, but yay for you, he sounds like a really great catch!

Congrats on the upcoming wedding!!! I felt the same excitedment before I got married, and it’s a great feeling. The best part is: after that day, you two get to be together for the rest of your lives 🙂

Sure, I could go for a good gush right about now 🙂 I also feel like the luckiest woman in the world. My man is motivated, helpful, considerate, loving, affectionate, patient, so much fun to be with and makes me feel like the most beautiful woman in the world, inside and out. He makes me glow! My happiness is coming out of my pores to create that glow, I’m convinced of it!
Having him beside me, telling me he loves me whenever the thought strikes him (a lot), holding me tight and sighing those genuine sighs of sheer satisfaction. I waited a long time for a love like this and was accused of expecting too much from men/relationships but I kept on with my beliefs and guess what… I was right all along! Pinch me?!

The content of this post is way better than what I expected to find. Made me smile super wide, and what a great departure from the usual stressed bride rant post.

Yay!! I love everything about these responses to my sillyness!! 🙂
@Eckle: Okay, now you’re really making me want to push the date up, too…! (Although I, like you, won’t because I have absolutely no time to get everything done that still needs to be done.)
