Wishing you all the best.
Wishing you all the best.
The stress you are putting yourself through without any actual evidence is FAR, FARRRR WORSE for your baby’s health than anything else. Baby is stll in its early developing stages. Please do not stress out unnecsesarily until you have ALL YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT. You owe atleast that much to the baby, okay!?
You will be fine! I promise.
Hi Magdalena. Was everything OK??
Just wanted to pop in and echo PPs, I had brown spotting at 6 weeks. Unless it’s bright red blood, a fair amount of it, I think you’re in the clear. Your body is just sloughing away excess lining as it would during a normal period, since it’s still early. I’m not a doctor or anything, but this sounds very typical.
Update? Thinking about you!
The blood test went fine but I have to call tomorrow to get the results. Augh why does everything have to take forever? My DH will be gone at work so I’ll be by myself at home and I’m sure to be a nervous wreck. The main thing for tomorrow is that the number is high enough to reflect 5 weeks… If the numbers are good I go in again for another to make sure the numbers are still doubling. Sweet Jesus why is this happening to me.
I got my first results back. Nurse says progesterone was at 9.4 and they like it to be at least 10 and target of 12. HCG is 6,434. She said that my numbers are borderline and if they are still low they will have me come in and try to do progesterone meds to try to save the pregnancy.
I’m freaking out. When I googled the HCG number seemed OK for 5 weeks. Is it? The prog. seemed VERY low though. Why can’t I just be normal for once!
@Magdalena: & What she probably meant by your HCG levels was low wasn’t exactly due to the number but probably the fact the numbers didn’t double within a certain time frame. Everyone is different with HCG levels. I have read at 5 weeks some say 2000 something & others say 8000 something & even some at 16,000! What they look for as long as your at a good HCG level is weather the amount is doubling in a 48 hour time frame. Say going from 2000 to 4000-6000 in that time. I hope that wasn’t confusing.
@Magdalena: I had a miscarriage last week and at 5 weeks 4 days my first HCG was 2,400. It then went down by a hundred two days later and then went back up to 2,600 two days after that. The range for HCG is so huge (for 5 weeks “normal is 18-7,430) that they look more at the trend for the numbers. GOod luck, I know how stressful and scary this is.
@Magdalena: I know this must so hard right now, but please try to stay calm and not worry. Have you ever done breathing excercises, or other relaxation exercises? If not, look some up online, they are very effective at keeping your body steady. I used to get these tapes that had guided meditations on them, and they really help since you have a voice to listen to so you don’t have to think at all. I bet they have downloads of stuff like that online now. As impossible as it sounds, I know you can find a way to stay calm if it will help the baby. I’m sending positive thoughts and a calm mind your way . . .
