hahaha sorry, the thought of this makes me laugh πŸ™‚ No one will mistake you for the flower girl. I’m the same height as you. You’re not short, they’re GIANTS πŸ™‚

I know how you feel. I am 5’3″ SO is 6’3″. When ever we go to events with his family I am the shortest person there.

I don’t think that people will be confused because of your height in the wedding pictures. But if it concerns you maybe when you take pictures you can stand on a step, of for pictures with his family you can stand on your tip toes if you can do it comfortably.

i agree with the PP – it’s not that you’re so short, it’s that they’re giants!! my parents are a foot apart in height and my mom definitely doesn’t look like a flower girl in her wedding photos. although the rest of my dad’s family is normal height. maybe stand on a box just for the photos with his family if you are feeling self-conscious about it.

I’m 5′ even (well a tiny bit above 5′), luckily my Fiance and his family are all not very tall (except his uncle).  But all my BMs are at least 5 inches taller than me, so I’ve instructed the really tall one 5’11 to wear flats and I’ll be looking for a heel with a platform so that the actually heel isn’t too hight, but I still get the height from it

Haha i know how you feel except i have the exact opposite problem. im 5’2. Fiance is 5’7. there goes my dream of wearing heels… all my BMs are taller than me, and probably as tall as him. i cannot even begin to imagine what our wedding pics will look like, maybe we should get step stools! haha

My Advice, get some massive heels for pictures…you can take them off at the reception.

Don’t feel bad- at FH’s family reunion (and this is a LARGE family) I will be second shortest over the age of 12. On of his cousin’s (who is 6’10”) is married to a 4’10” so I feel slightly better (I’m 5′ on a good day and FH is 5’10”, he’s the shorty in his family).

If it makes you feel better, my stepmom is 4’11” and my dad is 6’6″. So it could always be worse!

Lol, I know exactly how you feel!!  I’m 4’9″, hubby is 6′.  I always joked that I would look like a child-bride on my wedding day πŸ™‚  But you know what, it is what it is, you can’t change it so embrace your ‘shortness’ !!  It will be just fine and you will look so gorgeous, no one but you will notice πŸ™‚

Yes, I am 5’1″ and Darling Husband is almost 6 feet so we have this problem as well. I honestly don’t even realize how much taller than me he is until I see pictures of us. I wore 4 inch heels on my wedding day, but still looked super short next to Darling Husband in all our pictures πŸ™‚
