I think they must have the absolute crappiest customer service I’ve ever experienced! I had a very bad experience with them when FH bought my original e-ring from them (so bad that we returned the ring and purchased elsewhere) and now it’s happening again! >:(
FH and I are searching for a wedding band that goes with my e-ring, and it’s been proving pretty difficult. We were going grocery shopping the other day and decided to look in Fred Meyer Jewelers (for ideas ONLY, I wouldn’t buy from them again due to past experience). Well, we found a ring that goes very well with my e-ring, but since I want moissanite instead of diamond I’m going to have to get it either replicated, or buy a similar style band from moissaniteco. that I like.
The biggest thing is, the size of the diamonds on the FMJ band was perfect. They’re exactly the size I want my wedding band stones to be, and trying to figure out what mm they are has been a nightmare!
I called FMJ later that day to ask the sales consultant who had helped us what the mm of the main stones were, but she told us she had no clue what ring I tried on so she couldn’t help me. Okay, fine. Not a big deal. So I went in there the next day and asked them to tell me, but they informed me that they had no way of telling me what size the stones were since the info wasn’t on the tag.
Okay. Whatever. I’ll look at their online store. Except that the online store is under maintenance. Awesome.
Finally I call FMJ’s customer service, only to be told that the ring in question is no longer available online, therefore customer service can tell me absolutely nothing about it.
So apparently, I’m going to have to buy a millimeter ruler and bring it to FMJ if I ever want to know what size those diamonds were. Definitely not happy about this! >:(
I’m sorry, but what jewelery store doesn’t have their own millimeter ruler?!
