@jamiemichelle: I am so sorry to hear about your current health condition. 🙁 Hugs. I will be thinking of you.

To answer your thank you card question: we have been married 6months (tomorrow!) and there are still a few that have not been sent 🙁 I have sent all that I did (around 2-3 months) but there were some that Husband wanted to do on his own…and he has yet to do them! UGH! so, no you are doing fine with time 🙂

I just wrote mine for the first bridal shower I had, it’s a little over a month later. I’ve been pretty busy with my work and stuff. I finally was able to sit down and write them, now I just need to go buy stamps. My 2nd wedding shower and any registry gifts/cards/money, I will send a thank you after the wedding, but only because I want the thank you note to be a card with our wedding picture from the wedding, so people can see us even if they didn’t attend the wedding:)

Um. We are coming up on 6 months and I’ve only done about 1/3. So embarrassing! I don’t think it is at all okay but better late than never right?

We are at the 6 month mark. Mine are done (with the last few being this past week) but Darling Husband has about 7-8 left…  They will get done eventually.

Oh my gosh you guys just made me feel a lot better.  I have about 10 cards that I haven’t finished sending from our wedding 5 months ago.  I know technically old school etiquette gives you quite a while, but I still feel awful that we haven’t gotten those last ones out.  And honestly, the longer it has gone on the harder it has been for me to do them (granted, Darling Husband was supposed to pitch in and has yet to do a single one).

I just got one from one of my Dad’s cousins, they are an older couple … her wedding was last november and it arrived in the mail a few days before a year.

We’re almost at the 2 month mark and I have yet to send ours. I’m so lazy about writing them! But I need to get on it because I know it’s taken me way way too long and I’m starting to feel really REALLY bad.

Why not just do them?  You are on here talking about them — that could be two notes right there, lol.   Just put your head down and jump in!

Thank you for starting this thread!  We were married in July and we still have quite a few to go.  I did all my family/friends and of course my husband has only done a few from his side…I would say we are less than 1/2 done.  I’m glad to see I’m not the only one.  The guilt is eating me up….every time we see someone we haven’t sent a note to I feel awful!

I am so sorry to hear about your health condition – my thought and prayers are with you!!

I just finished my thank-you notes from my bridal shower.  Sometimes it is hard to start them, but once you do, it really does get easier to do a few more.  Instead of trying to get all of them over the weekend, why don’t you aim to complete one or two per night?  Good luck with them and please keep us updated on your health!

It’s been nearly four months and I am finished 3/4 of mine. Did all 3/4 of them tonight, actually! I bet the last of them won’t be finished for a while as I am sick of looking at them..haha!

    Praying for your health, jamiemichelle!
