You could have had a great New Year’s Eve if you wanted to. You could have said “no” to sex. For some women in the world, it’s the norm for them to get raped daily. You could have left the house during football to do something you enjoy. Some people don’t even have the luxury of television. You could have eaten something different. Millions of people are currently starving.

Talk about first-world problems. Take a look around you and try to be appreciative. This makes me sick.

themoonofhislife:  No, it’s really not ridiculous. What’s ridiculous is your definition of a bad day, especially considering the fact that you could have changed it.

themoonofhislife:  You will gain perspective and empathy in life, atleast for your own sake I hope you do. You are allowed to have a bad day but you should also take your own respnsibility in it. Projecting on to others, how you are invalidated because their situation is worse is not healthy for you. No one can make you feel anything, you choose to have that feeling.

Whoa.  This thread took a really weird turn.  Y’all, can’t we be honest but kind to original posters???  People come here for honest advice but it really doesn’t do ANY good to attack them for their situation.

I’m sorry you had a bad day, but your victim mentality is a huge turnoff. You didn’t HAVE to do anything. You could have gone out and done something on your own, watched your own show in a different part of the house, ordered take out, etc. Take some control and responsibility for your life and your happiness.
