Poor thing! I threw up on myself in the car too, once. Came into the office covered in puke and sobbing that I needed 10 minutes to clean myself up.
PP already suggested zippy bags, which is a great idea. Highly suggest packing a spare change of clothes just in case, too!

Thanks for making me feel better, everyone! I stocked my car with trash bags and an extra set of clothes. I had to go back into the office yesterday and I managed not to puke all over myself again haha. It is what it is, right?

I totally get it. I started carrying trash bags with me because being in a car from around 9-12 weeks always resulted in me puking if I wasn’t driving. I was in Costa Rica at 11 weeks pregnant last summer and the roads are unpaved, curvy, and climbing a mountain at the same time. Not helpful on a pregnant person who already feels like death. On the bus ride from Arenal to Guanacaste, I had to sit in the very back and threw up constantly. Luckily, I managed to be quiet and no one on the bus except Darling Husband and my family knew. Try not to feel bad. Pregnancy really screws up your body.

I threw up all over myself and my office at my job yesterday. My boss tried sending me home after, because they said I looked like I had the flu. I sobbed “I don’t have the flu!!!” and then well, I ended up blurting out that I’m pregnant and I’m just a little sick right now. I didn’t plan on telling anyone here until 12 weeks. I am only 6+5 right now. Sigh.
(I did ask my supervisor to keep it to herself until the beginning of August)

My morning sickness is just starting to kick in and I was driving this morning and seriously thought I was about to throw up — I thought of your post and was just like, “Well, if I really need to I can always just clean it up.” Luckily I was able to breathe through it but man, I feel for you. How nice that your husband was able to get you and clean up your icky car — that’s a good man right there!
