Why were you expecting a proposal if you knew it wasn’t on his mind?

You said funny story so here goes: My husband was dragging his feet so hard on proposing, because he couldn’t pick out a dang ring! lol, so I was being a nag, subtly dropping hints, that kind of thing, and he just was not getting it. So finally, one night in february I sat down on the couch with him and showed him a ring picture. I said “honey, I know you’re having a hard time picking a ring-” at which point he tried to interrupt me but I insisted, “So look, here’s the one I want, this exact ring size 4.5, white gold, and it’s under your budget.” And before I showed him the picture he goes NONONONONO and pushes my phone away, and my idiot ass reaction was to get mad that he wasnt listening, so I was like “Babe what the heck you keep telling me to tell you what I want, well I’m telling you!!” And he turns around and goes “dude. I bought a ring two days ago.” Well man I tell ya, that shut me up real fast hahaha. And just three weeks later he proposed lol. I’m sorry you ended up disappointed bee! At least you know that your timeline is this summer, I hope the time flies for you 🙂
