I feel like a broken record, and i posted on this issue several months ago.
So I’ve had my moissanite 2ct round solitaire from Moissanite Co for about 8 months now, and while I absolutely adore my ring, im also super frustrated with it. When my Darling Husband ordered this amora moissy back in august he was the very first customer to buy an amora (when it was called mira). And when he gave it to me it was the most spectacular thing ive ever seen! I mean you bees with moissys know what Im talking about, moissanite is breathtaking.
So fast forward 2 months (maybe less but i cant be sure) I notice these oily smudge marks all over my stone. And I found one posting on BTD about it. So it seems super rare. I cleaned and cleaned and managed to remove the majority of it. But it seems like i cant shake these little marks on each facet(not sure if thats the correct term, sorry).
Moissanite co responded months ago saying it was probably adhesive used to cut the stone which was not fully removed. So while i didnt see it at first, it gradually collected more dirt and grime over time.
Fast forward to now. Im over it. Im so tired of seeing these little marks. I’ve even come to the point that i feel like moissys arent what they seem(thats the frustration coming out). Because I want a moissy, but i want a stone without the marks all over it(and i am super sensitive to this).
So do any of your moissy owners have this same problem? Trust me if you look closely(or even not so closely), you would notice if you had these little things on your ring.
Any thoughts help 🙂
EDIT: And my Darling Husband and I think its possible that we got a defective stone, whether its the adhesive or not, so we are getting a new amora…heres to hoping that will work 🙂
