No, I really don’t think that you need a belt. That dress has such clean, beautiful lines and fits you so well (can’t imagine what it will look like now that you’ve lost weight! Congrats on that btw) that I think a belt would detract from it.

Definitely go with a blingy headband like the one you have on in the second photo, that is all the embellishment you need.

Your dress is stunning and something which I wish I would be able to wear (I don’t have the figure for it, my hips would look ridiculous).

You will look so amazing on your day, can’t wait till May when you can come back and show us photos of you all done up!

Also I don’t’ think it needs a corset back unless you are really worried about it needing to be adjustable on the day in case you lose/gain some weight. I think the corset would look a little out of place on that style of dress.

I actually think its a really pretty dress, I’m sorry you’re so uncomfortable about it. And wow if you lost ten pounds you must be super skinny now! I think you should find a fabulous necklace and you’ll be good to go.

@gangqinjia:  I think that final alterations will get the hugging affect that you are after without the corset. The more I look at the dress the more I think it would be a little odd with a corset.

I also like the length of the dress and if you were going with statement shoes you could then show them off under that part that isn’t *quite* touching the floor. However, that’s just me, I know that lots of people would rather their gowns be floor length.

Again, congratulations on your weight loss, that’s fantastic!

I also think that a huge necklace would overpower the dress. A subtle one similar to what you have on in the photo would look the best.

Glad to help! ๐Ÿ™‚

Don’t cry!  I don’t see the purpose in ordering even a 1k dress that I’d likely wear only once (maybe more, but that’s between Fiance and I >.> ).

I plan to order an “inspired” dress.  I don’t plan to spend more than $400 on it.

Also, that’s a very nice dress you have.  I’ve been looking fo something similar, if only because I don’t like being too exposed.

Ok.  You need to stop now ! ๐Ÿ™‚  your dress is stunning !! I agree with the PP that it shows your figure and is timeless.  I am going dress shopping on Saturday and I am actually looking for something very similar to your gown.  It is truely a beautiful gown.

I really like your dress!! I don’t think it’s too simple or plainat all. I think it has a classic elegance to it, and when you look back on it in pictures years from now it still will. It also looks beautiful on you ๐Ÿ™‚

I just stumbled upon this thread, read your post and was really hoping you would post a picture.  OMG, you look great.  I had to settle for a dress that I grew to love, but your dress is great on you, no need to have to “learn” to love it.  You have a great shape and look amazing.  Plus, you are the bride and your duty is to be happy.

Love your dress! It’s classically beautiful. Also, the fit is awesome and makes your figure look great! Remember, on your wedding day, you’ll have gorgeous hair, makeup, bouquet, etc. to match your beautiful dress.

First off , your figure is to die for!

and second, the dress is stunning!

Seriously, you are lucky to have that dress ๐Ÿ™‚

I wore something really similar for modesty and it had 3 quarter sleeves, everyone loved it! Rock it and wear it with pride because you are beautiful!
