Honestly, [email protected]&k them. Go to your SO’s hockey game. He will care if you are there, and you want to be there.

You paid for the ticket, so you’re not screwing anyone out of any money.

Hockey, musical.  Hockey, musical.  Hmmmm.  Hell yeah, hockey wins out every time.  I can’t stand musicals either.

Your mother sounds like a piece of work.  Kinda like my father in the PIA category, lol.  ((HUGS))

@givemecouture:   I love hockey, it’s fabulous.  I used to date a hockey player – he had the best body!

@givemecouture:  My mom is crazy too. I refuse to speak to her anymore. She has my nieces call me when she wants a report on me. They are 8 and 3. I officially moved out after college and she expected me to live with her until I got married. She still tells people that I “ran away from home.” I was 22. When she found out I was getting married, she told me that she wishes I was still little so she could beat me and I wouldn’t tell anyone about it. So yeah…

Just do what you are doing and strive to be the opposite of her. It seems like you’re doing a great job at those things.

Ok I love hockey and some musicals, however if my SO was playing in the finals for his league I would 100% be there to support him, I think you going is great!

Your family needs to STFU and realize you are an adult with your own life. I’d start giving them the silent treatment (childish I know but an eye for an eye) and see how they like a taste of their own medicine!

You told her you didn’t want to go before she bought the tickets and she still got you one?  Why the hell did you fork out $150 for it?

You may actually find out it’s really a blessing if she won’t talk to you any more.

@Bazinga:  Great idea.

Maybe it’s time she got a taste of her own medicine.
