@Mrs.Lotus:  I have been experiencing the same thing since last monday. I thought it was all stress to the wedding but. I still got it yesterday. It was just when I went to the bathroom and I had a tubual 8 years ago. I had already made an appointment on the 18th with my gyne. I also am 37. I went to the bathroom this morning and felt like I was giving birth. I am not due until the 15th. Whatever you find out let me know. I have had my symptoms since about the 27th of July feeling as if my cycle was ready to start.

I will say one thing stay positive dont think cancer. It could just be with all the hot weather and all we are experiencing everywhere it could be throwing off our mother nature charts

@Mrs.Lotus:  Please don’t start freaking out. Our bodies aren’t machines sometimes they do weird things. A couple of times my period came a week late or never even came at all. Then I was fine the next month. I have had a few times of spotting in between periods as well but it was usually do to new hormones via BC and my body trying to get used to it.

Have you done your annual checkup lately? If so any suspicious cells should have shown up then.

You should stop worrying! Spotting is so common and not at all a big deal. I can remember once or twice in the past spotting for no particular reason then it went away. And recently I was spotting really bad so I called my doc and she decided it was because I started my new BC pack ONE day early and said that probably messed up my hormones for the whole month (it did!) but after that month I was back to normal. What I am learning is that hormones are soooo easy to throw out of whack. Stress could definitely cause funky hormone levels, and that could definitely cause spotting. Also… please don’t throw things at me for saying this… but you said you are 37? It is possible that you are at the very very early stages of menopause. I know it usually happens a lot later but for some women it is early and I’m sure in the years leading up to that your hormones do funky things.

@Mrs.Lotus:  glad to be of help! Also, I feel I should tell you I am the world’s biggest hypochondriac (think… heacache = brain tumor lol) and i don’t even worry about spotting. So I’d definitely place it in the no big deal category πŸ™‚

I had mid-cycle spotting for years and it was because of a hormone imbalance. My body was digesting the estrogen from my BCP’s too well and it wasn’t getting to my ovaries.

Mid-cycle spotting is very common and can be caused by a million different things. Please don’t worry to much and book yourself in for your annual physical!

@CorgiTales:  “You should stop worrying! Spotting is so common and not at all a big deal.”

Agreed.  OP – please try to not stress out about this.  Spotting really isn’t a major concern (unless you are pregnant, then it is worth getting checked out).
