Ok so we have changed our venue and colors several times…meet the most indecisive bride EVER, lol. I can’t change our colors right now but I am totally lost as to what to do with them.
Here’s our venue:
Here is our reception venue (It will be dark like the pictures)
My colors right now are blue and green. This is my Moh’s dress:
These are our invitations
These are my shoes
Those are the things I can’t change…I have no idea what flowers to use (bouquets or the ceremony). I am thinking of doing a darker blue and green for the reception and just use lanterns instead of floral centerpeices.
My mom suggested just doing white for the ceremony and that I didn’t need to stick to colors. I found a bouquet on this website that was ivory with feathers but I’m really not sure.
Feedback..comments? What do you all think?

I love your colours and your invitations are GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!
I like what your mom said – pick a neutral and stick to the neutral and don’t worry about your colours so much! White flowers ALWAYS look good!

I think your colors look really nice together and they will go really well with your venue. I LOVE the invitation–that font for your names is awesome. I think your mom is right–you can do white for the ceremony if you want something a little more neutral. Also, a neutral color for bouquets (like white/ivory or peach) would allow the green and blue to pop. You could also go for more contrast and use a bright pink or something.

Your venues are GORGEOUS. It’s going to be really beautiful! I like the suggestions the other girls have made so far. Have you talked to your florist? I am all for asking the professionals their opinions, especially with something like flowers. They are pretty good about pulling together your colors and ideas to create something gorgeous. Good luck, it’s going to be fab! 🙂

- Wedding: April 2010 - Marie Gabrielle, Dallas
I definitely suggest white like your mom for the bouquets. You could do hints of greens in it and then maybe a blue ribbon around the stems if you want to incorporate that color too. And for the centerpieces, what about what Mrs. Cherry Pie did? <span style=”font-size: x-small; color: #81a026;”>http://www.weddingbee.com/2007/07/24/diy-details-centerpieces/ I think it would look gorgeous in your nighttime, outdoor ceremony.

Thanks girls!! Since we are having a destination wedding I won’t meet with the florist until we head down next month. We have a 4 hour session and it covers everything…floral, food tasting, cake tasting, decor…I just want to be prepared with ideas.
Thank you for posting Mrs.Cherry Pies centerpieces. Since we are doing our reception at Disney’s Animal Kingdom I think we may have certain restrictions regarding what can be brought in (due to the animals). AK just started using straws in fact!! They are cardboard as to not harm the animals.

I like those colors for your venue! Though i think that the green looks better in the ceremony area than the blue. What if you used the greens for the dresses and a pop of yellow / pink for the ceremony, and used more of the moodier blues @ your reception?

See I kinda thought the blue didn’t go either. I think it’s that carpet. One of our color schemes at one point was blue, green and pink. I wanted Moh to carry pink flowers and have pink shoes. Hmmm….more to think about.
I think part of my problem is I always pictured my wedding to be very bright, vibrant and colorful and it’s just not turning out that way.

I like the idea of using mostly a neutral color (like white/ivory) and using the blues and greens as accent colors, or pops of color…would that make it any better for you? And maybe you could do some varying shades of those two colors…darker or lighter.
And yes, your invitations are GORGEOUS!

Ok I have been scouring the internet for pictures and am starting to see how the nuetrals would work. I like the idea of a pop of pink…what do you girls think about yellow? I have found some bouquets that are to die for!!
Or what about doing the ceremony in two colors (like pink and green) and doing the reception in two other colors, but sharing one (blue and green).

I’m liking the yellow or pink accents with your current colors!! Your venue is so beautiful that it doesn’t even matter what the colors are girl!!

I love your colors! I think you could use white and/or ivory for linens and use all ivory or ivory and light greens for the flowers. Maybe wrap with blue satin ribbon. I would stay away from adding darker shades to what you’ve got (like navy or a darker green) I think lighter or neutral is the way to go.
It’s beautiful! Really – the hive doesn’t lie! 🙂

How about a metallic? I think copper or bronze would be lovely.

Loving the idea for a pop of pink color!

Thank you! I am staying away from white linens I think because our venue is very rustic…African rustic lol, and will be at night. I think the white might be a bit stark. I like the idea of adding a color in accents like ribbons or something and keeping everything nuetral.
I am thinking maybe for Moh’s bouquet to use a soft color…like pink that is so pale it’s almost white (or yellow) with a punch of color in the ribbon. Hmmm..off for more ideas!
You girls rock!
