Hi Bees! Welp, I bought my dress a month or so ago and LOVE it! Our wedding is still a little ways off, but i’m weird and really like having stuff planned out pretty far in advance, I suppose. harhar. Anywho, I got the J.Crew Celeste Ramie..just plain, no dots or anything. If all goes as planned, we’re hoping to just have a smaaalll destination wedding in Hawaii, nothing extravagant. Since the big day isn’t right around the corner, i’m taking advantage of that and slowly buying things as I go, instead of going broke all at once:) At this point, i’ve just got my dress and I bought some white patent leather jcrew t-strap sandals that came in this week! They go perfect with the dress and how I have ‘envisioned’ everything to be.
Now, my question is just that…what kind of jewelry do I wear? This has been driving me crazy! It will be on the beach, and i’m sure there will be some sort of lei-type accessory, but I still want to wear earrings and a necklace at least. I’ve been torn between pearls, crystal-looking jewelry, short necklace, long necklace, stud earrings, ‘dangly’ earrings…all sorts of stuff, but really have no idea what would look best. I think that since the ceremony and reception is going to be elegant, but laid back, I just wanted to make sure that I still feel ‘bridal-y’ with the jewelry and don’t go too casual. My dress is plain and simple, so do I maybe have a bit more pizzazz with the accessories or still keep the jewelry elegant, but simple? arrrgh.
Oh! Sorry this keeps getting longer and longer! I also don’t think i’m going to wear a veil. I considered the birdcage blusher veils, but at this point, i’ve decided against one and am just going to have a flower and whatnot in my hair. Sooo, I think not having a veil is putting strain on the jewelry decision and making sure I still look/feel like a bride! haha alright I’m done! Thanks for any suggestions! 🙂
