@Quickiebee:  I love the 2nd pic you posted. Why not compromise and do something like this, the Maggie Sottero Isadora Ann. It still has tulle but suits a garden wedding. I googled tea length tulle wedding dresses.

You have one chance in your life to wear a big, poofy dress, I say take it! You will have other changes to wear mermaid gowns [hey, even halloween!], and straight and narrow gowns, but how often will you wear a grade A princess gown?!

I’m going for something poofy, and I’ve seen alot of tulle dresses that I LOVED. I just haven’t decided which one – I know more will come out that I love!

Oh, I’m in the same place as you! I’m getting married in total remoteness, and the party will be pretty much out in the forest. So when dad said “And I presume you’ll be wearing a sensible dress” I told him YES, I’m going for a short one”. But then… well, there’s so much out there, so I started to look and BAM… total dress mania followed. 🙂 Still no dress, but I know I can’t go back to my original vision. So, I think I will go for a long dress – but a minimalistic version. Then it still feels a little ok.

So, my recommendation is – go the middle road. Perhaps something like this would work!

do It!  It’s your wedding day and if you want to wear a cloud of yummy tulle, go for it!  Impersonally, I think wearing a seemingly ” too fancy” dress to your simple wedding would make it soooo romantic! Like, movie magic romantic 🙂

I really liked the fourth dress. So cute. But really, wear what makes you happy. So if tulle’s your thing, what about something like this?

@Quickiebee: Oh, I love that dress, so classy! I also had a dress that pushed me over the edge, so I know the feeling. Now I need a long dress and I still haven’t told my uber practical dad. 🙂

And I guess I’m not helping AT ALL… But just have to add this dress to the pool of wonderfulness!

Girl you can wear whateve you want. Why don’t you go to a few stores and just try them suckers on. just for fun. you should commit to your style AFTER you have seen what is out there. I would probably go and have writen in a notebook your flow for the day and try to find a dress that does everything you want it to.

    Hope you find it!
