Go for tulle!!!!! Absolutely agree with PP’s. Go for complete broke and wear what you want, it’s your wedding! I think a good plan would be to start with tea length tulle gowns, and if you don’t find any you like, start looking at floor length ones! You might find something you love in tea length and then it’s the best of both worlds 😀

@FauxPas2012: Thanks but I posted this dress for Quickiebee (it’s lovely though, isn’t it)! I’m looking for a long, sheath dress with cap sleeves. I’m Swedish, so I want the dress to have a simple Scandinavian touch, and it’s so difficult!

A+ on the title. I’m adoring puns today.
Have you tried on dresses yet? I say, go try a bunch on! If big, girly dresses aren’t normally your thing, you might regret making the leap. So, try on short minimal dresses. Try on the fluffiest tullest bridal gown you can find. Try on everything, and see how you feel when they are on your body. If, then, you still love the tulle- go for it!

Jumping on the tulle bandwagon here…I think it can be totally appropriate for your wedding!! Just because the dress might be large, it is still light and swishy and fresh and fun…Plus, you could up the casual factor with shoes and accessories if you think the dress alone is too formal.
But in my opinion, tulle is FUN, and you can totally rock it in any situation.
Have fun and good luck finding your dream dress!!

Tulle it up!!! Wear whatever you want! If you can’t wear whatever you want on your wedding day, when can you???

It’s your wedding day – the day when you should feel your most fabulous. If you can’t wear an amazing dress on the day you get married then when can you?! I say go for exactly what you want. It’s your wedding, you’re the bride – you can never look overdressed!

Here are some beautiful “toned down” options: http://sajawedding.com/collection_2013.html
I really love Saja looks, too bad I don’t live in the US to get the real Saja dress 🙁
BUT I think you should wear whatever you want, even if it is the most giant fluffy dress ever. It is your wedding day!

@eocenia: I love this dress and the other one you posted OP.
Here is another knee length tulle:
Have you thought about adding a birdcage veil to the mix. This might do wonders to help make you feel more bride-like and fullfill all your inner bride feelings (for most people this is their one chance to wear a veil as well!!).

I hear ya! I really want some tulle for my rehearsal dinner… but it’s a barefoot cocktail party on the beach – not exactly formal. Commenting not because I have an idea, but because I want to see what everyone comes up with!

If it’s tulle that makes you feel like a beautiful bride, then it’s tulle you should wear! Perhaps you can dress it down at the reception with some flats, or cute cowboy boots if that’s your style.
