That sounds like a horrible experience & I can totally relate to your feelings, BUT it sounds to me like she just tried to use that as an excuse for her own mistakes. And that is not fair to you. I’m sorry you had to deal with that and I’m sure you look gorgeous. I’m really angry that someone would say something like that around a bride. Someone in her business should know better.

That seamstress sounds like a bitter “B”.   Don’t let her ruin this time for you.  I just got married and I can tell you everything flies by so fast.  Enjoy every single minute of everything.   Enjoy all these little last minute things going on.  At least the shop owner is on your side and I’m sure she is going to ensure that your dress is done to perfection. Everything is going to work out.   HUGS

Oh I am SO sorry this happened to you! No woman deserves to be treated that way in general (no matter what size), but to treat you that way in your wedding dress?! That is just inexcusable. I’m sure you’re going to make a beautiful and curvaceous bride! Rock that dress, girl! And if that seamstress talks anymore smack I would suggest talking to the owner to possibly get a new seamstress or deal with someone else in the alterations department.

I feel for your situation, and I hope you find that spark again!

Maybe before you you go next time, have a girls’ session, and a couple of glasses of champagne with fun music to get you in a happy frame of mind?

I am truly sorry this happened to you and hopefully the owner will sort it all out and it will all be fine

I’m sure you look stunning in your dress and not fat at all, but that does not make it ok for you to attack size 2-4 women for not having any curves to make yourself feel better. Once your dress is out of the shop context and it’s all fixed then you will look and feel good about it again- it becomes part of the day rather than “the dress!!!”

Good luck.

OP, don’t let some idiot cause you to change how you feel about yourself or your dress.  She doesn’t have that power unless you give it to her.  Who cares what she thinks?!? Once your dress is properly altered it will look amazing, don’t worry….you’ll be beautiful and she’ll still be a mean, judgemental person!

LOL catz always make me feel better, so here you go:

@msfuturea:  That is so awful that a snotty seamstress decided to rain an a very special moment. I mean this in the politest way possible, but… f*ck her! I’m sure you look stunning in your dress. Post pics soon so we can all swoon over it.

I dont think that you were attacking size 2-4 women at all, I can appreciate that you must have felt picked on as they didnt receive the same bad treatment as you did. If your body size wasnt brought up in the first place im pretty sure you wouldnt have even noticed the other women trying on their dresses. It sounds like the seamstress has lost her love of making wedding dresses, perhaps she aspired to be a top fashion designer but it didnt work out so she now gets her kicks from insulting others. I can imagine that you must feel pretty anxious about it all, but remember your getting married because your man is over the moon in love with you and you WILL look beautiful on your wedding day. dont let her negativity drag you down, her life her problem! your life? getting rosy as you getting married really soon!!!! plus you got back up for when you have to go back.   big hugs
