Hello! I dont think that the classes you took for the AA will be a total waste because whenever you go to get a BSN they would have wanted you to take some of the gen eds anyway, like english and math etc.  So the good news is you will have those all done!

if you already close to getting an AA in any field you should be close to earning an AA for nursing. Many of your credits should transfer to any four year college, and you should only have to take nursing classes and some other classes to earn a bacholers.

taking classes is never a waste of time. You need to talk to someone at the 4 year college you want to go to.

I just completed nursing school and many people were in the same boat you are in. They took the time that they were waiting to hear about their acceptance and any free semesters available (we didn’t have nursing classes in the summer) to get their AA classes out of the way. It’s not a bad idea to go ahead and get your AA out of the way because, as PP have said, you will need them for your BSN, anyway.

@Miss.Sunflower I’m 27 and a year away from getting my BS degreee in social work. So you’re not behind. Sometimes it just takes longer, because life gets in the way. Good Luck!
