I’m going to have a pretty white lace and tastefully, bedazzeled dress
My groom in his perfectly fitted suit
BMs in silver
A tiramisu wedding cake
Soft, pretty flowers in all the bouquets
Low flower arrangement centerpieces
The backyard of a Victorian house for the venue/reception
The best playlist imaginable including Buble, Classic Rock, and dance mixes
and of course— a lot of booze
How about you?

Hmmm, I daydream about my wedding a lot.
Either in the mountains or close to the mountains in August
Classical music for the ceremony
Burgundy, silver, black and cream for colors
Big reception with lots of country/jazz/dance music
Booze, if I can convince my dad it’s not evil…

Forgot to add a VERY important piece….
Wedding Pie!!!!! No cake, just pies.

What I find kinda funny is what you daydream about before you begin planning vs. what you end up with. Before I got engaged, I wanted:
Red dress with my bridesmaids in ivory/soft white
Winter wedding with lots of white and red/silver accents
GIGANTIC ballroom venue with a staircase I could make my entrance on
And now I’m planning a cozy August wedding in a museum, with my bridesmaids in purple and me in a white-toned dress. And we’re getting a DJ 😀

@MissCalifornia: Before actually being involved in planning a wedding, I would’ve said the same things as you! I don’t think tiramisu will change- me and SO aren’t big cake eaters but are always sure to sample tiramisu when we go on a date.

I want to be married in a blossoming apple orchard, or in some beautiful old-fashioned garden.
My dress is going to be one that I make myself– ivory-colored, and designed as some amalgamation of historical fashions and modern fashion.
My groom will be in a semi-historical costume that I’ll make!

disclaimer: this is totally fantasy and SO often has his own ideas..please do not throw up at how much i’ve already thought about this..
lots of diy with personal touches, i’m a flying piggy and he’s my hunnybear <3
romantic, emotional heartfelt vows in a ethereal draped, candlelit space with dramatic view, celebratory song…and OF COURSE, SO did not forget to send me flowers/write me a letter before hand! 😉
intimate party, small or no bridal party, lots of speeches and words of intoxicated love, SO would sing me a song and cry
art deco/old hollywood/old havana/shanghai nights/glam ish
slinky beaded art deco inspired gown with birdcage veil
blood red peonies or cattleya orchids
lots of sparkle, lots of candles
chinese banquet or asian/latin fusion
sangria (important to our first date!) and bubbly
ETA: bwahaha..wow reading this over i sound ridiculous! but hey, it’s a fantasy, right? 😉

Southern vintage, a gorgeous hotel venue in Charleston, colors are gold, soft pink, and ivory (believe it or not, they were actually SO’s idea!!! He said he was inspired by a dogwood tree with pink blossoms and I love it!). A big, big, BIG gown with a long train and cathedral veil Bridesmaids are in soft pink with ivory sashes, heartfelt vows in the ceremony room, then upstairs for the party! Lots and LOTS of yummy Southern food (I’ve even looked at the menu for the site we want because I’m crazy like that…shrimp and pepperjack grits, crab cakes, chicken, corn bread, she crab soup, hoppin john, pecan pie, coconut cake…food is the one thing my SO is not about to compromise on, so we’re going all out there!).
It’s fun to dream 🙂

It is fun…I’m going to add Cajun/Creole food for our first vaca together to New Orleans. Hurricanes and Summer Shandy (only beer SO really likes) for all!
And now I’ll switch it up– We’re having our ceremony and reception in the art museum at my hometown. (White marble inside and out). The ceremony takes place on the stairs and everyone is able to sit at their tables. We do the classic vows. Submerged plum calla lily centerpieces. BMs in sleek, black dresses with a white mix bouquets (calla lillies included). My dress is uber modern and my bouquet is all plum callla lillies. The men are in the classis black tux w/ bowties. My dad has bottled tons of wine for the reception. I probably spill red wine on my dress because I can’t (safely) wear white and always make a mess when eating. Still having cajun/creole food and a tiramisu cake. SO can have his summer shandy.

Small and intimate, meaning about 75 people, thats how much it takes to include everyone we love, if they all show…
Theme – Simple yet elegant
Details – Strapless white dress for me fitted but not too fitted, something unique lace or bling preferred certainly NOT plain and updo hair with flower, black tuxes for all the guys, I wanted white for SO, he said no. Girls in strapless tea length dresses, Maid/Matron of Honor in long halter dress preferably. Still contemplating if they will carry flowers or parasols. Its outdoors in Florida, sun might be killer….just tryna look out for my chicas!
Venue – Hotel with beautiful gardens, ceremony outside, reception indoors of the hotel.
Reception – Good Food, 3 tiered cake, Dancing, Newly Wed Game, good times!
Honeymoon – Mexico! SO swears he is half Jamaican and half Mexican, he likes the food and music. In reality, he’s just a caucasian looking puerto rican dude. But he’s the love of my life so Mexico it is!
