That seriously looks like you bought it in a bridal salon!  No one will ever know and CONGRATS on such a budget-friendly find!  Score!

I would think that dress came from a wedding store! No shame! It’s gorgeous!

It’s lovely, and it sounds like it’s perfect for you! Plus, I imagine that you got it for a much better deal than a wedding dress. 🙂

I’m going to do the same thing. I realized that I have been conforming myself into looking for wedding dresses, when in reality, I hate “wedding” dresses and now am conforming deemed “formal” dresses to fit me. I found this amazing dress (see below)… and I’m having it made into ivory (while keeping the black). It’s crazy, but it’s totally me. I’ll have to adjust the neckline a bit (I’m rather busty) but for what it costs I’m glad to do some after market alterations. While I haven’t ordered it yet, it’s a good contender and I know now that “formal” dresses are the way to go, for me.

@Samantha_MT:  This dress is gorgeous! I already have my dress (thank goodness – wedding is only about one month away!) but I would love this dress for other occassions.

@CaliHoya:  Thanks! Yeah, I was having such a hard time finding really ANY dress that I liked… so when I found that sites could custom make “evening” and “formal” dresses I jumped right on board.

Don’t feel bad at all!! Your dress is gorgeous. If it makes you feel any better my friend tried on a $700 wedding  dress at David’s bridal and then we went to browse Macy’s and I kid you not the same exact dress was in the prom section for $120.
