super cute!…I would love to see you in your black and the black veil though…I have a purple veil…not pics of me in it though

Dear Fiance would hate it, otherwise I would wear a color.

I don’t have any pics yet…I only have this one because we had just come back from alterations lol.
I’m sort of bedazzling the skirt on my black dress…so it sparkles when we dance. And the black veil has a few sparkles.
I’ll post when I’m done 🙂 And thank you!!!

ooh… do you mind telling me who makes this dress? im looking for a similar sort of style maybe in another color, this designer might be a good place to start!

sounds wonderful! I bought some of those spray body sparkles and did my veil and it looks totally amazing. It is very subtle…they do fall off a bit though so am just going to spray it the morning of the wedding again…I put the veil on my sister to see how it looked because I cant judge when I see it on me….and it looked great…so I will be wearing it for sure…It is very very long though so I think I will have to cut it…not sure of the length I want yet though..It is a simple up do veil so will just drape down the back…how long will yours be?….My dress is down to my ankles…I really love your tea length dress!

tadashi shoji. This one is from last years collection so it may be harder to find. Love his dresses!

I freaking love this dress!
I am aiming for a similar style to this dress (except a-line as I am plus sized). I’ve been concerned about what to do with the sleeves that I plan to have, but the way this dress has them has I think solved my problem!
My dress will be dark blue, and I’m having it made for me by a dressmaker.

It is really amazing. I am plus size as well and the dress is a really awesome stretch jersey. SO COMFY
The sleeves really sold me too. I was not interested in wearing a strapless bra. I need to be comfy on my wedding day!

I’ve never been traditional so it works for me! 😉 If you love purple then why not try to find a traditional dress that is made in lavender? It would look gorgeous. I wore blush pink for my first wedding in 1990 when it was pretty much unheard of. It was so pale that people kept tilting their heads sideways while looking at it and asking ‘Is it pink?!’ Coming from a very strict Christian family even they had no problem with the dress. White looks horrible on me and I like colour.

This is gorgeous!! Who is the designer? I want to look at their other designs!

I have two dresses (ceremony dress and reception dress) and NEITHER one is traditional! Haha. In fact the first one is actually a corset and a skirt.
Well mine will be a champagne color, which I am not sure if it is traditional or not.

Awesome dresses! We are doing a Steampunk wedding so there will be a lot of corsets and bustle skirts happening too. I have quite a few so I plan on lending some of them to family so they don’t have to spend too much money especially considering we are traveling so far for the wedding. There’s something about a corset that gives you a boost when you put it on!

I love this dress – it is gorgeous!!
Beautiful coloured dresses all around ladies I’m really glad to see that more and more people are embracing non-traditional dresses. I went to my first dress appointment last Friday and learnt, to my suprise, that I look terrible in fit and flares but can rock the heck out of a ballgown. And the bigger and more dramatic the skirt, the better. That being said, the appointment also confirmed what I have known for awhile – that me and white/ivory do not photograph well together. In fact, after seeing the photos, my mother now agrees that perhaps a coloured dress would work better lol
I’m hoping to have something like this gown made..
