I still see those cakes EVERYWHERE and don’t think they look dated at all!

I think you are fine! But if you want to change your cake go for it! You are still 4 months out!

I still like the square cakes!  I think you might be just panicking a lil bit.  No one is gonna think you’re outdated, trust me!

mine’s square with ribbons around each tier 🙂 you get more cake with a square than a round, all i’m sayin’.

that’s odd…i actually chose square because it seems like the last few weddings i’ve been to have had round cakes. so besides choosing what i love, i try to chose stuff that i haven’t seen much….

if you like square go for it!

I love this debate because some years round cakes are in and some years square cakes are in. When my parents got married you were weird if you didn’t have a round cake. At my sisters, the new fad was square cakes so she did that. At my cousin’s wedding the year after it was round again. Then for my cousin’s wedding two years ago it was big time square.

I don’t even know what the popular thing is this year. I just went with round because my cousin already has the cake pans!

I am planning on getting a square cake- but I am avoiding the ribbons around each tier. I stole this picture from someone here on WeddingBee, but I LOVE this cake and hope to get one just like it. I don’t care if square is in or out- I love how it looks!!

I’m having a square cake…mainly because you get more cake like MissSewing said, and because I think they’re easier to cut. Maybe I’m wierd =]

I think both rounded and square cakes look fine. We went to a wedding that had a square cake in May that was beautiful, so don’t worry about it, no one cares but you, haha Wink

As long as it tastes yummy, no one will care 🙂 Round is more classic, but square is a very popular choice! I’m sure your cake will look lovely!!
