msmeow85 :  Don’t beat yourself up over it.     He went through with the proposal even though you kept brushing it off with your errands.   I think it is rather sweet that he used your kitty in the proposal.

Take it from me, I’m currently kicking myself.    My SO and I planned a big night out in the city, we arranged a nice hotel room, a fancy restaurant which we never been to before.     I got pampered at the beauty salon, nails, eye brows waxed and went to the hairdressers for a cut and style.

By the afternoon I started to feel unwell, I had a big ear ache and my sinuses started to play up.   Get to the restaurant and I have no idea but my anxiety started to come up.  I thought “I can’t be proposed to with all these strangers around.”  It made it worse because the music in the restaurant was hurting my ears and the waitress kept coming over asking if everything was fine.

I told my SO I didn’t want bended knee proposing and he looked so disappointed he replied that he was going to propose before dessert.

It was totally stuffed up that long awaited planned proposal.    Now we have it planned at a different date looking to be next week.  At a different location and fingers crossed I hope I’m feeling much healthier.

I bet in the next few years you both will look back and laugh about your proposal.

You totally have to take an unofficial engagement photo with your Princess in the pic, in years to come the fact that your kitty was part of the proposal and your Fiance couldn’t wait to propose as soon as he got the ring will still make you smile.

FWIW, the big elaborate videographed proposals seem contrived to me, as though it’s a moment created more for social media rather than the couple being wholly caught up in the proposal itself. Spontaneous and often ‘imperfect’ proposals just seem so much more romantic and heartwarming to me. Congrats Bee 🙂
