I am so sorry you’re having to even deal with this! They definitely need to make it right, and I wouldn’t take it to another jeweler because then it more than likely voids MoissaniteCo’s warranty.

I would just email them with pics and tell them you’d like to have it redone. Since it’s their error, they should pay for shipping both ways and I’d ask for pics of the new ring before it gets sent back to you. I know it complicates things because you’re in the UK, but I wouldn’t risk voiding any kind of warranty personally.

In short, no, it’s not normal. A ring that costs as much as I’m sure that one did shouldn’t have any flaws. Period. Don’t let them tell you otherwise.

Also, expect an email from them in short order. Bet they contact you before you can contact them.

Absolutely you need to contact them! I would absolutely hope they would pay any shipping and duty fees that are incurred simply because it is their mistake these things should have been caught by quality control so it is their responsibility to pay for fees!

hugs !

these things do happen but lately they seem to be having issues at that company!

keep us posted!

finally got to see the pics of the band and yeah its wonky thats crappy of them!

You should absolutely have them correct those issues.  My wedding set is from MoCo and my wedding band cracked all the way through after only 2.5 years of wear, and I believe it may have been because it was slightly warped from the get-go, and I should have addressed it sooner.  I totally understand about not wanting to go through the hassle of sending it back, and for the same reason, I’ve been wearing a stand in wedding band for almost 2 years lol.  Your ring should be/look/feel exactly as you want it.  Good luck!

Oh girl 🙁 I’m so sorry you received a damaged ring like that. I would be mad. Is there no quality checks with this company before they send out products? You paid good money for a quality ring. A ring with a huge dent in the band is not good quality. Moissaniteco should absolutely pay for any costs to send this ring back and replace it with a non damaged ring. That’s ridiculous, and very noticeable. All they had to do was look at it. And you are correct about the shape being off. Sorry it didn’t work out well. I know you were sceptical about the company and hopeful they would send you a product without issue. I’m sure they’ll fix the problem. You’ve done nothing wrong though- this is their mistake. You should not be held responsible for any extra costs.

I think it’s possible they have you a setting that had already been worn. I’m sure they would deny it, but the only warped bands I’ve ever seen have been worn and misshapen. And that divot is located in a spot that would come into contact with objects.

sunburn :  Well if that’s the case, it wouldn’t be the first time I”ve heard an already worn ring was sent as “new” to a customer. *eye roll*

They need to get it together.

As with any online vendor-unless it was a custom order, contact them and see if they’ll make it right.

Good luck

marriedalready69 :  they should make it right regardless if it’s a custom piece or not. They certainly didn’t agree to customize it with a dent and wonkiness.

I wonder if Custom pieces is their weakness. The four latest bees with issues, including OP, all had custom pieces.
