princessmiaofgenovia :  I’m so sorry that this happened to you! Honestly, I feel like you’ve been extremely reasonable throughout this whole process, and I hope your ring comes back to you in perfect condition!

On a side note, I was about to place an order with Moissaniteco, but after seeing your post – I might try Schubachs instead! Good luck with it all, and hope we get to officially see you engaged with your beautiful ring on!

lolcat :  Not Trying to thread hijack, but I’ve gotten quotes from upwards of 15 vendors, and no one could even come close to matching the quality and price of David Klass, Schubachs included. They were actually REALLY high. Everyone raves about him, so you’d think his prices would be astronomical, but they aren’t at all. As a matter of fact I found they were often less than stock pieces at most online retailers. (He’s given me a LOT of quotes. Lol)

I’m not sure what type of setting you’re wanting and if it’s custom/stock, but it’s worth shooting him an email! Im actually waiting for a CAD from him now. He’s out of the office until next week, but he’s still been responding to me when I’ve had random questions.

And to the OP, I hope your second ring is perfect!!! I can’t imagine how frustrating this all must be. I’ve worked in retail/customer service related industries for over 15 years. When dealing with the public you are absolutely right. Be nice and you’ll get what you want WAY faster from me! Only be ugly if necessary. Lol. I hope it doesn’t get to that point though!

princessmiaofgenovia :  No, I totally understand why you chose them to make your engagement ring! There are a lot of positive reviews on here, and they seem to be a reputable site. Their Instagram account also showcases a lot of lovely rings! Which is why I was about to place an order with them!

I am really disappointed for you, and saw many issues with your ring, like the cracked bezel on the bottom, as highlighted by another bee. I think it’s absolutely fine to make mistakes, but I really hope Moissaniteco can own those mistakes, and make it right for you, without trying to shift the blame, or diminish your concerns. I think by doing that, it will really help strengthen not only their customer service, but in people’s trust and confidence in their company. Good luck hun, keep us posted. X

michellelynn9175 :  Thanks for the recommendations about David Klass. Unfortunately, I’m from Australia and I don’t think he ships over here! I’ve checked out his Etsy store, and am coveting that floral band! I did see that Schubachs ships over here, and maybe their staff can help pick a good stone for me? I was going to order a stock ring from Moissaniteco but I might PM you about it so we don’t hijack this thread. 😊 I have been following your elongated cushion thread, and you seem to know your stuff! Thank you again! I can’t wait to see your final ring!!! πŸ˜€πŸ˜

lolcat :  Geez, that thread is embarrassing. Lol!! I’ve changed my mind so many freaking times. Lol. And I want the rose ring with the moissanite center. I’d love it for a RHR. PM me if you want! I’ll help any way I can! πŸ™‚

princessmiaofgenovia :  Girl, you have got to be freaking kidding me???? What in the actual f*ck??????!!!! Wow, just wow. I get it, laugh instead of yell, but that’s ridiculous. It’s simple customer service people! Get your shit together!!!  Did they make you pay to ship it back to them too or send a prepaid label? I’d tell them where to shove the ring and get a refund. Just out of principle. Lol.

princessmiaofgenovia :  You have more patience than me, but if you love it I completely understand why you’re being polite and giving them a second chance. I’d probably be the same way, considering.

Your comment made me think about the differences in the way people operate. I asked David Klass how much it would be to add a surprise aquamarine in the band of my ring. Just a tiny one stuck in the bottom corner. It’s my daughter’s birthstone and the month we got married. His response? I’ll throw it in for free. I haven’t done anything but get quotes from this guy. Not spent a penny. And that’s the difference in people.

I can’t wait for you to get it back! It better be perfect! Lol

princessmiaofgenovia :  What’s $25 worth if they gain a loyal and satisfied customer? If they are remaking the ring, then perhaps they can just do it? Or maybe they would choose not to, if it’s just a repair? Either way, it seems like an insignificant cost to absorb. I’m not sure how much of it affects their profit margin or maybe they outsource their resizing to an independent jeweller? Anyway, I just hope they fix your ring!

michellelynn9175 :  That rose ring is gorgeous. Get it so I can live vicariously through you! Hahaha. That thread is so funny, because I am totally indecisive too and can relate! πŸ˜‚ I haven’t decided what I want either!

lolcat :  did you use emojis? If so, remove them and it should go through. You can use them on the boards but not PMs πŸ™‚

They’re charging you to resize the ring?? They will have to make it over again anyways. Why can’t they just throw that in? Ridiculous. And on another note.. I thought moissaniteco offered free resizing for the rings?
