princessmiaofgenovia :  Haha! I don’t think asking a turnaround time is being naggy. I’d just tell them you’re wondering an approximate time that way you don’t bug them about anything. And also request pics and videos before it gets sent out. I’d just wait for them to respond and write back with those two points. They’re both perfectly acceptable requests. If they have issues with it, they’re bigger jerks than I suspected.

princessmiaofgenovia :  I am so sorry you’re upset! But… Girl, take it as a blessing! You can have it made somewhere else and not have to deal with their BS. Seriously, I personally think this is best case scenario. Can you ask to have the stone sent back to you and them just refund the cost of the setting?

princessmiaofgenovia :  Absolutely! There are other companies that will be more helpful and better to deal with than MoCo, trust me. Your design was simple, and easily replicated elsewhere. I don’t blame you one bit for not letting them keep your hard earned money. I’d feel the same way. Lots of Bees on here that are ready and willing to help with the next Ring Adventure so don’t be discouraged! 🤗

princessmiaofgenovia :  Also, I did a quick search for some of the more reputable and decently priced moissanite vendors that I’ve come across. Some of them are just through the roof expensive, and I don’t understand how they get the money they do out of their loose stones, lol.

Fire & Brilliance has an Asscher in their own FAB line that’s really pretty, and I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of Port City Jewelers, but Ivey is so sweet and helpful and she guarantees her price is the lowest. A 7mm colorless in her Eternal brand is $575 USD. These might be a couple good places to start, and they both do custom settings too. Again, I still recommend DK for the setting, and the stone can be shipped directly to him if you prefer. A solitaire like that won’t break the bank. In fact I bet it’ll be right around what MoCo charged you. Maybe a little more, but it’s worth it to avoid the headache IMO. Good luck! Let us know what you decide to do! 🙂

What has happened? Only the very best outcome! Do you really want to deal with MoCo again when the ring comes back and it’s still not fixed to your liking? Because that was another very possible outcome. There are lots of places out there that can make your ring and do it better.

lolcat :  Alistair Kelsey is in australia and does amazing things with rings.  He is spectacular, his instagram is full of drool-worthy pieces.  Oh, and his prices are David Klass low!

Clearly, this company is a janky hit & miss mess. So much hassle for what? A waste of time. Try and wash your hands of them and be relieved they won’t further fuck anything else up.
