It’s my first month off the pill and I had a positive OPK on day 12. Had intercourse (apoligize for my clinical language; I’m actually a physician!) that day and a couple days later. I know that I ovulated b/c I had some bad cramping for several days and went to my gyn, who did a sono, which showed a corpus luteum (ovulation cyst).
It’s now day 23 and I started spotting yesterday, with a bit more bleeding (like a light period) today. Haven’t had any PMS symptoms, and I’m not having cramps like I usually do with menses. Could this be implantation bleeding? It just seems like more than spotting . . . but again, I really don’t feel like I have my period right now (and I always had a solid 28-day cycle before I was on the pill).
Thanks for any advice/reassurance you can offer!

First month off the pill is tricky… it plays with your mind and body… You’ll just have to wait until you are due or PeeOnAStick….

But good luck and LOTS of baby dust to you! 🙂

@Karine04: Hi Darling! I hope it is implantation bleeding! One things that I noticed when I started TTC was that I was much more aware of my body.. Each cyle I have been trying I have noticed what I hoped was implantation bleeding and got my hopes up because I was sure I had never had spotting before in my life. However, now what I realize is that I probably had it in the past but never checked/noticed. I think symptom spotting is part and parcel of TTC, (excuse the pun;).
You are 11DPO now, so you could test with an early responce test? It depends how it will make you feel if its negative? (I know I hate seeing negative tests..). If not I would wait a few more days then test.
Fingers crossed for you!

I agree with Misty bear… the first few months off the pill can be totally wonky. I personally had lots of cramping during implantation but I never had any spotting at all so I have no experience. Fingers crossed for you!

Thanks guys. I will probably do a urine today or tomorrow. Not digging this bleeding, but fingers crossed!

I did have implantation bleeding and I only noticed it for 1 morning then it disappeared. I thought it was the start of my period. But I’ve also read that others have lasted longer than that though…like a couple of days. I tested 2 days later and got my BFP. I would wait until at least tomorrow to POAS. Nothing worse than getting an false negative. Sounds like it could be IB though!
I just have to say that I think it’s kind of ironic that you’re a physician and asking (mostly) non-physicians this question! TTC is such a crazy process. Good luck to you!

I had three days of implantation bleeding. It was quite light and mainly brown (old blood). I hope that yours is IB too 🙂

I have no idea but certainly hope so! Fingers and toes crossed for you!

I never had any spotting before my period until I went off the pill, and I now I have it every month. Not to say this isn’t IB, but just know that your cycle will be wacky for a few months (unless you get pregnant first!)

I’m also just off the pill and have been experiencing unusual symptoms (cramping, moodiness, sore breasts, nausea and exhaustion). No bleeding yet though. I sure hope it’s pregnancy for you! 🙂 I’m excited for you and anxious to hear how it goes.
Getting pregnant during the first few cycles isn’t unheard of. Neither is experiencing pregnancy symptoms early on. Sending love and baby dust! 🙂
