Ok so I knew I wanted a non traditional engagement ring and had my heart set on Morganite. I found a ring from Zales and fell in love but ended up ordering a similar ring from Overstock. HUGE MISTAKE! Within a week it was cloudy and no matter how much I cleaned it or tried it was just cloudy cloudy. I was heartbroken and started to read A LOT about them and realized that most chain jewelers sel poor quality morganite with inclusions visible to the eye. I was disappointed in myself for not researching it thoroughly before I bought one. I still wanted morganite though so I started scouring Etsy and took a chance on a jeweler from out of the country. Morganites come in colors from pink, sometimes even purple to peach and salmon. I had my heart set on pink. She assured me it was in fact a perfect 1.25 carat pink clear stone free of any inclusions. I waited anxiously for 3 weeks while she made it and when I got it yesterday I swear it took my breathe away. I almost cried I finally had that true OMG moment like when he asks you. Even my fiancé was blown away and he wasn’t crazy about the first one but this time he was like wow! So I just wanted to say if you have your heart set on morganite I would look for a jeweler to make your ring. I’ve i closed an image to show you the difference. My new one is on the left and the flawed morganite is the one on the right that is peach.
