Interesting they’ve closed your restuarants. Those have been classified “essential” in the U.S. Best of luck in boredom lol.

missviolet92 :  Lol, a lot of people are gonna learn there’s a learning curve to making bread judging by the amount of flour being hoarded.

The UK finally went into lockdown yesterday. Still a bit of uncertainty about what you can and can’t do. Essential shops are allowing a maximum number of people in at a time. Takeaways are allowed to stay open.

We can go out for exercise once a day but have a 2 metre rule. Honestly though, no one can really police that as we don’t have the resources. You just have to hope people use common sense. I had to drive yesterday and it was surreal. Did see quite a few people flouting the rules.

Good luck!

We call it Shelter in Place in the US.  It’s really not so bad.  We have lots of food and can get outside.  Both SO and I are working remote so our days are busy and go by quick.

You need to create a new schedule because it’s easy to get in a rut.

sharpshooter :  I love your country’s phrase for this – ‘shelter in place’ sounds so much better than ‘lockdown’ ‘quarantine’ or ‘isolation’!

sharpshooter :  can you go out for a walk in a group? UK is limited to two people together from the same household.

EllyAnne :  Maybe in groups of 10 or less, but I don’t know any people hanging out in large groups right now.  Ha.

Facetime, Zoom, Google Hangouts are a really great way to connect with friends.

sharpshooter :  our’s is very specific.

Many of my family and friend’s jobs are hanging in the balance so I’m probably more negative about it than some 😔

EllyAnne :  believe me, I get it.  My job is hanging on by a thread.  My company probably won’t make it through this.

It’s also my birthday today, so I’m trying to look at the brightside.  I have my health, a roof over my head, and a great group of friends and family in my life.  It wasn’t the birthday I expected, but my SO is really going above and beyond with the circumstances.
