Just for fun, let’s just say we all had perfect bodies and unlimited funds. And any dress you chose you could afford and it would look perfect n you. what dress would you choose?

Just for fun, let’s just say we all had perfect bodies and unlimited funds. And any dress you chose you could afford and it would look perfect n you. what dress would you choose?
here’s mine:
i would choose my dress! Jenna by maggie sottero! i love it and its everything i wanted. i worked hard the past year to lost 20 pounds as well, so i am happy with how i look in my dress!
I would definitely choose my dress again. It’s Maeve by Priscilla of Boston. It is absolutely gorgeous and exactly what I wanted for my wedding. I feel so fortunate that I found and could afford my dream dress!
I would probably choose my dress. But since I didn’t look at other dresses above my price range… I may change my mind. So basically, there’s no way for me to know what dress I would choose. Haha 🙂
Haha, after looking at a million dress I finally decided to lift all budget restrictions, I’m pretty happy with my body, and I still couldn’t find the “perfect” dress. I’d wear an allover chantilly lace drop waisted ballgown with a very fitted top, corset back and sweetheart neckline. The skirt would be full but not ridiculously poofy, not have too many gatherings where the skirt meets the bodice and, and have a scalloped hem. I don’t think that dress exists outside of my head. I spotted a Pnina on the current season of Say Yes to the Dress on a mannequin that may be close. It’s probably one of the $20K+ dresses.
My Romona Keveza would’ve been very close to perfect if I had more time to make modifications to it, as opposed to having only 5 days for alterations.
I love my dress.
But before i started looking at dresses I loved Monique Lhuillier’s Scarlet:
Too bad the model looks on her death bed.
@T.R.Bride: Maeve is one I wish I had tried on!! Has been one of my favorites for a while. And a good friend of mine wore it recently. It’s beautiful!!!
This was my DREAM DRESS for YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but Maggie Sottero discontinued it before her new line even came out.. when it came time to really get a dress I wasn’t up to digging to find it.
@runsyellowlites: I had that saved in my “dresses to try on” folder as well. I wonder why it was discontinued? Would’ve thought it to be more popular.
Counting blessings…I looked at almost every dress line that I knew of and then some more. I looked at every dress on preownedwedingdresses. I got my favorite. It’s perfect for me.
Theresa90405 Thanks so much! Maeve has been my absolute favorite wedding dress for a long time, and after I got engaged, there wasn’t any other dress I could imagine getting married in. It’s an absolute dream. And I’m sure your friend looked gorgeous!
@meliss yea me too.. I remember when I went to start looking and went to her site and it was NO WHERE TO BE FOUND!!! The only places I found it were “custom” dresses from china… I wasn’t willing to chance it.
I had a friend tell me that there are times that people with big money/names will get dresses from designers and request that they be discontinued b/c they wanna be the only one… pfft. lol
Nevertheless I love the dress I do have and it fits our wedding great, so I’m still a very happy bride! =)
@runsyellowlites: Speaking of couture, I recently found this designer, Zuhair Murad. I think her wedding dresses may be one of a kind where only one person gets to wear them. I can’t even find a store that sells them outside Paris and Lebanon and I saw prices like $40K when I google’d. I guess if I really had unlimited funds I’d wear something like that.
