My cousin is getting married in less than a month, ( JULY 4th!!!) they were going to have the reception at a family friends house, and unfortunately that has fallen through! So I need all North Carolina Bee’s, specifically triangle area or those who know about the area, to help us locate a venue pronto.
I know it’s going to be a nearly impossible process due to the holiday, but she needs help!
Any ideas are greatly appreciated!

Are they looking for just a reception location or a venue for the whole shebang? Indoors or outdoors? Price range? Religious or secular?
Fiance and I have been ceremony location scouting all around Raleigh for the past several weeks, so we know of some places. The trick is finding something that’s not already booked for such a close holiday.

Right now, I don’t care if it’s in or outdoors. Price range, it needs to be decently cheap, they had a quick engagement and haven’t saved much money. And it needs to be just a reception venue!
Thank you so much!

Well your cheapest option would probably be to rent out some government-owned place. Parks and Rec types of buildings. Go the the city of Raleigh website and it has a section specifically for Parks and Facilities. I think the Arboretum near State is pretty reasonably priced and everything should be in bloom. There’s a weird cool old hotel downtown that has a circular restaurant at the top. It’s the Clarion. And, of course, you’ve got your pick of churches with all sorts of banquet halls attached, but they’d probably want you to do the ceremony there too.
