Ooh yay! Good luck! I had a great labour, until my Mother-In-Law tried to come in when I was naked and twent my contractions stopped and the rest was traumatic so I won’t tell you that haha. What is your birth plan? And do you know the sex is? I’m almost feeling clucky at the idea of a brand new baby

Mine started at night too. I just knew without knowing the entire day before. I only ate rice all day, I cleaned like crazy all night and then at 1:30 in the morning while watching x-files the contractions began. I ignored them for a few hours then finally got up at 5 got a shower, shaved my legs, put on makeup, crawled around on my hands and knees trying to relieve the pain and then at 7:30 I woke my grandparents up to drive me to the hospital. When I got there at 9 (my grandparents decided to take their time getting ready too) they said my labor was slow and made me walk around…they clearly did not realize how much pain I was in by that point. I was put in a room and I got in the bathtub to relieve some pain which helped so much. They gave me meds to make me sleep and I felt like I was on and off asleep for the rest of the labor. I think I got my 1st epidural around 6pm and 2nd around 6:45 (neither ended up working though). At about 8:20pm I started feeling like I had to push but they said I was only 8 cm so I shouldn’t but of course I did anyway and at 8:54 I had my son!

Good luck! =)

Ooh! How exciting! I’m very not so patiently waiting for my Future Sister-In-Law to go in labour, she’s a couple of days over due.

@stephanie63087:  Yeah it wasn’t a terribly long time so I was happy. Then my sister had her 1st baby this year and I stayed in the room with her… she put my 19 hour labor to shame, she was going in to be induced and they found out she was already in labor she just didn’t know it. That was at 6am. At 12pm she went into hard labor. At 2pm she finally started to feel pain. At 3pm she got her epidural and had absolutely no pain. At 5pm she started pushing. At 6pm there was a new baby girl in the family. It was so fast and she only had an hour tops of pain. I was so jealous.
