@stephanie63087:  Congratulations, mama, and welcome to the world, Silas!   Healthy mama, healthy baby.  That’s all that matters in the end.  And I think holding out till 9cm deserves a medal, anyways 🙂  Take comfort in knowing that last-minute epi saved you from a c-section.

Aww, congrats! Man, I feel ya on the long labor with back pain. I was in active labor for about 30 hrs before getting an epidural… I needed counter pressure on my back the whole time too. I was 4cm when I got the epidural and 7cm less than 30 min later. I’m thinking the epidural allowed my baby to turn as well. Sounds like you made the right decision. Congrats on your son!
