I’m actually getting married out of town, but co-worker is looking for someone in the DC / Northern Virginia area to come to her home and do her hair and makeup for her wedding day, May 8. If anyone knows someone who could do this, we’d love the recomendation. Thanks!

I don’t know about someone to do hair but I recently found out that a Mary Kay consultant will throw you a Mary Kay party with your bridesmaids to try out a wedding look and then come on your wedding day to help you with your make up. I was told that this service was free (obviously you would have to buy the make up but it might end up being a cheap alternative to a make up artist).

I had my hair done at my house, and they did bridesmaids too – i live in Arlington, but they travel in the area. I LOVED her. Her name is Courtney Saunders and she works with the makeup artist – they are called EarthDiva I believe. Website and contact info below.

They WONT make you look like a clown, and are good at being natural. I had test-run makeup at Elizabeth Arden in Pentagon Row – AWFUL, AWFUL!

I agree with the post about a Mary Kay rep – there is a director in Vienna who has a background in Art (college) and she has done a few weddings this season so far… her name is Robin Sailer and her email is [email protected]
